Japan Society opens Gen’ichiro Inokuma’s first U.S. solo museum exhibition

Asia Week New York’s official 30 September notice says Gen’ichiro Inokuma’s NYC Salon runs at Japan Society from 6 October 2026 to 10 January 2027. The exhibition gathers paintings, works on paper, multimedia material, photographs, film and ephemera from the artist’s 1955–1975 New York years, drawing on Japan Society, MIMOCA and a recently discovered New York private collection.
