Christie’s announces a single-lot Qianlong imperial gold ewer sale

Christie’s will offer an embellished solid-gold ewer and cover, marked and dated to the Qianlong period (1736–1795), in a dedicated Hong Kong auction on 29 October 2026. The work was formerly in the collection of Dr Carl Kempe; public previews are scheduled in Taipei on 17–18 October and Hong Kong on 22–28 October. Catalogue attribution and provenance remain the auction house’s statements, not OACA authentication.
